Organizational Change: Corporate Governance
[ send me this paper ]
An 18 page paper discussing the changing view of transparency and accountability on the part of the investor, and the need for organizations to adopt changes that address investor concerns. Scandals at Enron, Worldcom, Xerox and even Martha Stewart follow on the heels of the fallout of the technology sector the preceding year; US household wealth has declined more than $4 trillion in the first years of the 21st century. The changes in order for organizations include being more forthcoming with information that affects investors’ investment decisions. As Enron, Worldcom and Xerox recently have discovered, attempts to cover up negative forces are not successful for long. Bibliography lists 12 sources.

Organizational Dynamics and Development in Financial Institutions
[ send me this paper ]
A 20 page paper discussing the effects of and the need for change initiatives within finance, primarily within the banking industry. Changes in business and within the financial services industry dictate that financial institutions also change in order to remain significant within the changing of dollars between entities, but that change must be systematic and well-planned in order to result in benefit to the organization. Critical to the success of any such change initiative is that the organization clearly define what it is that needs to be changed, and then set about effecting change in that area. Bibliography lists 25 sources.

Outlook for Winnebago Industries
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page paper discussing financial and stock performance of Winnebago relative to its industry. The US stock market dropped dramatically immediately following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, tripping the already-weak economy into official recession. Because recreational vehicles are considered to be luxury items, it would be reasonable to assume that a company such as Winnebago Industries (NYSE: WGO) would be suffering as well. To date, however, it has not. The paper lists and discusses many of the company’s valuation, growth rates, management effectiveness and profitability ratios, discovering that the company has remained generally undervalued in the past and fiscally conservative during the heady times of the late 1990s. Its ratios are higher than those of the industry; management effectiveness ratios far outstrip that industry. Bibliography lists 6 sources. Includes 1 table.
